ESSENTIA ANALYTICS NAMED ONE OF UK’S BEST WORKPLACES™ SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

London, April 27, 2022 – Essentia Analytics, the leading provider of behavioral data analytics and consulting for professional investors, has been named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for the second year in a row following independent analysis conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute® UK.

Based directly on evaluations of employee responses as well as a cultural audit, the ranking is provided as part of a rigorous and anonymous survey about employee workplace experiences.  This is the second consecutive year that Essentia received this designation.

“Even in times of agonizing uncertainty, at Best Workplaces™ the shared mantra of ‘purpose over profit’ has stood firm,” said Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK.  “We’re incredibly proud to recognize the 290 companies on our list for their outstanding workplace cultures, and unwavering commitment to supporting employees so they can deliver the best strategic solutions to ever-changing business opportunities and challenges.”

Founded in 2013 by Clare Flynn Levy, a former fund manager at Deutsche Asset Management, Essentia Analytics combines data analytics with specialist coaching to help portfolio managers mitigate bias and measurably improve their decision-making.  The company was an early adopter of a flexible working model, and has grown under the powerful example of a female CEO at the intersection of two male-dominated industries.

“Essentia has prioritized culture since day one.  I deliberately set out to build the sort of workplace I wanted to work in, myself: one based on respect, authenticity, and cooperation.  As we’ve grown, we’ve stayed true to our values and paid close attention to feedback from our team.  We are honored to be recognized for our work prioritizing their needs, especially in the current climate,” said Flynn Levy, Chief Executive Officer.  “We are extremely proud of the support we have been able to provide to our colleagues during a challenging few years, and we strive to continue to be a great place to work for all current and future employees.”

Clare created the Equilibrant network in 2014 to facilitate advocacy and flexible working along with senior female peers.  Through this network, she helped other senior women find meaningful and flexible working opportunities in roles that they are passionate about.

Essentia puts Clare’s appreciation for flexible working to use every day, not just with full time employees – who have had the option to work remotely since the company’s inception – but by building a team of ten “Insight Partners” – all former fund managers who are now pursuing portfolio careers.  The company’s cooperative environment fosters authenticity and respect among employees, and dedication to go above and beyond the call of duty.  Essentia is guided and sustained by a strong values-driven culture, making it a people-first company to its core.
